Possible solution (Extracted from existing issue, might be incorrect; please verify carefully)

Solution 1:

The execute and connect commands are part of the rdbms-connect CLI extension. You need to have the extension added to your workspace or have your workspace configured to automatically install missing extensions. Please, follow the instructions available at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cli/azure/azure-cli-extensions-overview?view=azure-cli-latest to install that extension before you invoke any of the two commands it currently supports.

Solution 2:

We had az config set extension.use_dynamic_install=yes_without_prompt - which seems to have silently failed to automatically install the extension. Manually installing the extension resolved the issue.

Solution 3:

Dynamic install may fail to install the extension automatically. Manually installing the extension solves the issue. Consider reopening the issue to investigate why the dynamic install feature does not work anymore.
