Please allow auto light/dark mode to change to SuperDark in dark mode.

First of all, thank you for building such a wonderful app. I use it daily and find it extremely productive, so I really appreciate the work that goes into maintaining and improving it.

I noticed a change in the dark theme behavior after version 7.6.1. Up to that version, the default dark mode used an AMOLED-style black theme, which was perfect for my use. In the newer versions, dark mode seems to use a dull steel-gray theme instead.

I see that the AMOLED style has now been renamed to “Super Dark Mode.” However, when I enable it, it stays active permanently—even when my device switches back to light mode. Previously (in 7.6.1), the AMOLED-style dark mode would automatically follow the system theme. For reference, please see #424

Would it be possible to allow Super Dark Mode to follow the system dark/light theme automatically, similar to how dark mode behaved in version 7.6.1? That workflow worked perfectly for me.

It would be even better if there are two option :

• Follow the system theme
• Switch theme based on a specific time (e.g. Light theme at 9 A.M, Super Dark theme at 11 P.M)

Yes, it would be. Either option works for me. All my apps and browsers follow the day/night mode pattern which changes with the system theme and some apps do allow for setting Amoled dark while others follow dynamic colors.

Apps like https://github.com/BlackyHawky/Clock and https://github.com/T8RIN/ImageToolbox have it as a separate option for setting dark mode to Amoled dark.

There can be 2 options "Follow Theme (with dark)" and "Follow Theme (with super dark)". I think this is easiest option for us OLED users.

NotallyX having own theme timing is unnecessary in my opinion. I always expect apps to change at same time for a consistent experience. Inconsistent themes hurts the eyes.

I agree. Following a dark theme with Super dark would be much better. A radio button can be integrated as it is in those two apps mentioned above. The default dark (not using dynamic colors) isn't dark enough. A darker shade would also help.

I disagree, I think both options would be necessary. Personally I always preferred to constantly use the dark theme for Android UI, dark theme for some apps and light theme for others (which I choose manually in each app settings).

For NotallyX, I prefer the black theme for the night and light theme for the day, which would be impossible for me if it just follows the system theme (dark)

No both options are not "necessary". You want them is "not necessary". "Necessary" is critical function or majority supported feature. Your description of other apps confirms it is not.
