Address the attributes only or data format issues on the tracker:

• Marine terminating for Antarctica rgi_issue_tracker#52

• 6 geometries are "invalid" in RGI 7.0 rgi_issue_tracker#48
• Glacier complex product should have an src_date as well rgi_issue_tracker#44
• RGI 7.0 shapefile geometries are stored as 3D polygons rgi_issue_tracker#43
• Zipped files may contain .ipynb_checkpoints folders rgi_issue_tracker#42

Not tracked yet:

• I have computed new DEMs (RGITOPO) and associated hyspometry files for both G and C products: https://cluster.klima.uni-bremen.de/~oggm/gdirs/oggm_v1.6/rgitopo/2026.1/ - these should supersede the old ones
• the attributes metadata files for RGI71C need an update since new attributes will be available (hypsometry ones and src_date)
• Consider recomputing centerlines for 7.1 #77 This would be on me - I'll probably do it tomorrow

Most of these each require a few minutes to a few hours of work, but altogether they need a coordinated effort (a new workflow for RGI71).

In parallel the documentation needs updating, I already started this here: https://glims-rgi.github.io/rgi_user_guide/
