How is the progress?

This branch is 110 commits ahead of upstream master. What has really changed and what is the difference with this fork and upstream?
Also, since you kind of understand this project now, how does the branches in the upstream work? Dev, react-ui?!?

I would like to make changes in any way to get this to run on my Chromebook (at least personally, not distributed) with Python3. And I am confused as to what you have done and how far you have come and which branch you generally work on, there is master and gtk3-migration branches. I am also wondering if you know any license issues with what I am trying to accomplish.

Hi @bluephoenixgame, thanks for reaching out! My reason for forking in the first place was because the upstream hadn't been maintained in a while and was dropped from the default packages in Kali Linux, but I'd been actively using it at the time and was disappointed, so I decided to try and bring it up to date. As such, it's a pet project and I'm only able to work on it very occasionally due to 'real' commitments.

At this point, I wouldn't recommend using my fork because I've left it in an unstable state. I didn't start with the best Git practice at all, hence there is instability in the master branch, rather than having my changes in a dev branch, etc; this is one of the areas I'd like to try and address.

Since originally forking this project I've worked on a few others and have a much better set of tools and workflows. I'm currently working on a refresh of my personal site, but once that's done I intend to revisit this project and commit my free time to getting it into a functional state. I'm thinking no more than a couple of weeks until I can really begin.

In terms of getting it running on a Chromebook, that's an interesting idea and honestly I wouldn't know where to start, as I haven't done any development for ChromeOS; if that's something you want to try then by all means keep an eye on this fork for the update to Python3 and use it as a basis. Despite my limited progress, I think this is still the most recently active fork and the only one aiming for Python3 migration.

I'm sorry I can't be of much more immediate help right - I wish I could do more but trying to do this around a full time job is difficult, to say the least!
