I installed SLiM / SLiMgui using the DebianUbuntuInstall.sh script and the widgets appear misaligned in the top right. I played around with QT_SCALE_FACTOR and QT_FONT_DPI, as suggested in section 2.7 of the manual, to no success. The same issue previously occurred for me on Ubuntu WSL on a different machine.
