Describe the bug

On resume from S3 suspend, a nvidia-modeset kthread soft-locks one CPU indefinitely inside the DIFR prefetch path (nvDIFRPrefetchSurfaces / DifrPrefetchEventDeferredWork); the display never recovers and the machine must be hard-powered-off.
Reproduces across multiple suspend cycles. Full trace and nvidia-bug-report.log attached.

To Reproduce

Suspend the machine and resume.
