Operating System and Version
Arch Linux
Kernel Release
7.0.12-zen1-1-zen
Please confirm you are running a stable release kernel (e.g. not a -rc). We do not accept bug reports for unreleased kernels.
Hardware: GPU
GPU 0: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 (UUID: GPU-7a94ef60-53af-89e3-feee-518b7ed1d258)
Describe the bug
When connecting an HP LA2206 monitor to a DP output on RTX 3050,
the monitor is not detected correctly. Instead of reading the monitor's EDID, Hyprland reports
it as "Nvidia 0x0000" with a physical size of 0x0mm and only 640x480@59.94Hz available as a
mode. The monitor works correctly when connected to an AMD GPU.
To Reproduce
- Connect an HP LA2206 monitor to an RTX 3050 DP output
- Run hyprctl monitors
- Monitor appears as "Nvidia 0x0000" at 640x480 instead of HP LA2206 at 1920x1080
