I'd love to contribute to this issue and have already started working on a workflow that enforces DCO by checking the latest commit for a valid Signed-off-by: line.

I noticed the issue was moved to the backlog, so I just wanted to check in before opening a PR — would it be alright to go ahead and submit one, or would you prefer I hold off for now

I noticed that Issue #6 (commit/branch naming conventions) and Issue #16 (DCO workflow for commit verification) seem related in terms of enforcing contribution standards.

Before proceeding further on #16, I wanted to check if there’s already ongoing work or plans that might overlap. @sinke237, since you’re already assigned to #6, maybe there’s an opportunity to collaborate or align the efforts?

@sinke237 @Awungia112 I think if u are ready to raise a PR for this then go ahead, since no PR has been raised for #6 yet. @sinke237 may remove DCO from his PR and deal with validating branch naming conventions
