As there is no Desktop Client yet, we can't build and package it like we do for tauri:

I guess reading that, we Should use Tauri, if we wrap, --the question is just If we can steal the Cinny Desktop for this, or do we wait for "Sable Desktop" 🤔

I belive it is marked broken since Tauri v1 uses a unsafe package. They recently moved to v2 so that should be fixed.

I build my deriv. on purpose with npm instead of pnpm, as they also use normal npm in this project.

ahh perfect, since ive last checked they swapped to pnpm:

just fyi I've added a nix flake devshell in feat/tauri-integration branch that seems to work fine for running and building tauri desktop on linux. Although it's going to change a lot soon when we switch to CEF for linux and macos builds (due to calls not working on gtkwebkit)

Very nice. I was planning on making a nixpkgs package myself, since I already maintain some packages on there, but seeing as others beat me to it and there are really big changes ahead I will at least wait for now
