Sampler stalls when invoked from VSCode's debug console

Sampler stalls execution when invoked from VSCode's debug console.
I'm on a windows laptop but this is run in a remote linux machine via ssh.
Windows VSCode version 1.105.1

Pertinent software versions etc.:

• VSCode's extension Python Debugger version 2025.14.1
• Python version is 3.11.13
• debugpy==1.8.14
• dwave-ocean-sdk==9.1.0

To get the debugger to stall, run this in debugger

qpu = DWaveSampler(solver="Advantage2_system1.7")

# Do NOT run this next step by stepping the debugger.

qpu.sample_ising({32:0}, {})

Just to clarify, you're using VSCode's Remote - SSH extension to run your code on a remote Linux system over SSH?

If yes, can you try running your code in a local debugger/console? Does it stall there as well, or just over SSH?

Also, by "stall" you mean sample call blocks until sampleset is resolved, or it blocks indefinitely?
