Describe the Bug

when the app is running but the window is closed i try to open the app but i encounter in Performance monitor lite is already running
sholdnt it just open my app ?

Steps to Reproduce

1.service is running
2.click on app symbol on task bar
3.get an error :Performance monitor lite is already running
4. i close the service and re open the app

Expected Behavior

jut to open the app not to run the service

Actual Behavior

get the error Performance monitor lite is already running

it worked before i just upgrade
sql agent is running

Hi @ShimonTheDBA — a couple things:

1. You selected Full Dashboard as the component, but the error message says "Performance Monitor Lite is already running" — so you're using Lite, not Dashboard.

2. When Lite is running and you close the window, it minimizes to the system tray (bottom-right of your taskbar, near the clock). Right-click the tray icon and choose Show Window to bring it back. You don't need to kill or restart anything.

This came up before in #282 — same situation.

1. I apologize on the selction my bad
2. Do you think there’s going to be a fix for it or it’s a feature ? I used to works with SSMS and when the I minimize the app I can open it with click on the ssms logo on the task bar

That makes sense — right now Lite hides from the taskbar when minimized (tray-only), so there's nothing to click to bring it back. A couple ways this could work better:

1. Keep the app on the taskbar when minimized (like SSMS), so you can just click it to restore
2. When you double-click the exe/shortcut while it's already running, bring the existing window to the foreground instead of showing the "already running" error

Which of those would you prefer? Or both?
