This came up recently with the graphics crew so writing up an issue to capture discussion/consensus about it.
For the same reason that Android touch events are disabled on interactive articles (#14112), carousels (#12987), and live blog key events (#12836), is there a case to be made to do the same for standalone embeds? The limited touch event functionality caused by Android's 'swipe to next article' feature blocks a fair few designs from getting off the ground.
Alternatively, maybe we deprecate the 'swipe to next article' feature?
