Can'ts deploy the contract

Hello ,

I am new to Ethereum, I followed the steps in read-me file, and stopped at the last step "Running the Application". It does not work in the way described in storage.html
I use Chrome browser console to run the function calls. I get an error "Ensure the storage contract has been deployed".

Can you please assist?

This is a few months late but you need to start mining in the geth console.
