There is some code in hypelight-host purely for being able to load snapshots on disk that were saved before certain features was introduced. Next time we do a hard breakage in snapshot-loading compatilbiyt, we should take the opportunity to clean these up. They are currently recorded in docs/snapshot-versioning.md under ## Compatibility cleanup section.
