Kafka Producer Span Name is Incorrectly Set to Consumer Span Name

We have a call that pushes a record into Kafka with span name as kafka_producer1 and with consumer span name as kafka_consumer1, as can be seen in Jaeger UI below:

However, in Hypertrace, the producer span name is incorrectly set to kafka_consumer1:
