What parts of Modrinth is your feature request related too?
Modrinth App
Is your suggested feature related to a problem? Please describe.
Problem
Modrinth already allows users to view worlds inside each individual instance. However, this means worlds are only accessible by opening the instance they belong to.
For users with many modpacks and instances, this makes it easy to forget about existing worlds because they are hidden several clicks away inside specific instances.
Describe the solution you'd like
Suggested Solution
Add a dedicated Worlds tab next to the existing Library tab.
This would not replace the current world management inside instances, but would provide a global overview of every world across all installed instances.
The page could show:
- World name
- Associated modpack/instance
- Minecraft version
- Last played
- Play time (optional)
- Favorite/pinned worlds (optional)
Selecting a world would automatically open the correct instance and launch Minecraft with that world.
Why this would help
The current system works well when you only have a few instances, but becomes inconvenient when you have many modpacks installed.
A global Worlds page would make worlds easier to discover and access, similar to how a game library lets you see all your games without opening each collection individually.
This would also fit well alongside the existing Library system:
- Library → manage modpack instances
- Worlds → manage all saved worlds from every instance
