Since the documentation is deprecated here. We should add a reboot.txt file for search engines to discourage showing pages from this.

Unfortunately, edx.readthedocs.io is still the correct place for documentation about edx.org site and they still rely on that but I think that homepage needs an update to not claim to the right home for openedx and maybe link back to docs.openedx.org for community docs. @jristau1984 that page comes from here. Would you be willing to accept a PR to update it?

Posted a question about this in the ask-2u channel. My proposal is to update docs.edx.org to be more tightly scoped and clarified for edx.org.

I'm not entirely certain I like this search box either but I'm not strongly against it.

Received an update from @robrap - unfortunately, 2U can't accept a contribution from us.

• I did ticket this (BOMS-493, in case I ever want to refer back).
• Unfortunately, the team that would implement is buried under a bunch of P2s, so it may be a little while before they can get to a P3.
• And unfortunately we can't legally take contributions. I appreciate you capturing your thoughts in the issue.

I'm going to close this ticket since we can't resolve it on the Open edX side, and 🤞🏻 that 2U can respond - it's a very small change.
