The Frontend Template Application repo is a fine enough library to spin up a new MFE application, but when it comes to making a Frontend Plugin library, it is a pretty bloated boilerplate that requires more cleaning in order to avoid unnecessary dependency maintenance.
It would be nice if there was a Frontend Plugin template to act as a plugin boilerplate. Frontend Slot Footer is actually a pretty decent and trimmed repo that only provides the bare essentials to get it working. It might be too trim to base a boilerplate off of, I'm not sure, but I'm keeping this issue ticket here since Frontend Footer Slot was originally a fork of this repo.
