Privacy Policy for "Save Image As..."

Effective Date: March 27, 2026

Purpose

This Privacy Policy describes how the "Save Image As..." Chrome Extension ("the Extension") handles your information.

Data Collection and Usage

The Extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.

All image processing, format conversion, and PDF generation happen strictly locally on your own device. The Extension does not use analytics, telemetry, or tracking scripts, and it does not communicate with any remote servers or third-party APIs.

Permissions

To function correctly, the Extension requires specific browser permissions. These permissions are used exclusively for their intended functional purpose:

  • Context Menus: Required to add the "Save Image As..." options to your right-click menu when you click on an image.
  • Downloads: Required to trigger the browser's download dialog and save the converted file to your local device.
  • Scripting & Host Permissions: Required to access the raw image data on the page you are viewing so it can be converted into your requested format (such as PNG, JPG, or PDF) using local browser APIs.
  • Offscreen: Required to perform heavy image processing and PDF generation in the background without interrupting your browsing experience.

Third-Party Services

The Extension does not use any third-party services, APIs, or trackers. The included libraries (like jsPDF) are bundled directly within the extension and run entirely offline.

Changes to this Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this document. Since we do not collect user data, we have no way to actively notify you, so we encourage you to review this policy periodically.
