3D/2D or 2D/2D Registration in SOFA possible?

Hi together,

is it possible to do a Registration of a 3D-model to a 2D image. So far I only saw the possibility of 3D-3D registration with the help of the Registration PlugIn. Even the Imageregistration of the Registration PlugIn only works with 3D images. So is there a solution with the Registration PlugIn or if not do you have any other ideas of doing 3D-2D registration?

Creating a 2D projection of the 3D-model should be possible but how can i then register the created 2D picture on my goal 2D picture. Ideas for 2D/2D registration are very welcome too.

Just to clarify your request: when you mention a “3D model,” are you referring to deformable model registration, or to 3D DICOM imaging data such as MRI or CT scans? Providing a bit more detail would make it easier for others to understand your needs and offer relevant help.
