What happened?

I got an error when I tried to build an image from a Dockerfile (a .NET application) located in another folder using the method public ImageFromDockerfile withDockerfile(Path dockerfile).
The Java test application uses Maven.
Testcontainers for .NET work well on the same laptop.

I tested this scenario locally with the following setup:

System:

• macOS 15.4.1 (M1 Pro)
• Java 17 (Temurin)
• Docker Desktop 4.40.0
• Testcontainers 1.20.4

Maven dependency:

**Dockerfile:**
FROM python:3.11-alpine
WORKDIR /app

CMD ["python3", "-m", "http.server", "80"]

**Java Test:**

The test worked perfectly, and the container started successfully even with the Dockerfile located outside the project root.

This error indicates it is an authentication issue. Please make sure your Docker daemon is correctly authenticated. I'll close this issue for now, since it is unrelated to building images.
