The structure of ElementHash/ElementMAC lifts heavily from NMAC, but the security analysis is not rigorous.
It would be best to have formal security proofs under reasonable assumptions. HMAC and NMAC have been proven secure based on several different set of assumptions; it'd be nice to have a formal security proof from at least one of those bases.
