Automatically created index for new field throws database error in MySQL

Describe the bug

When saving one of my dropdowns in my super table I am getting this attached error saying the identifying name is too long. This is only happening if I try to add an option to the drop down or change the handle of an existing dropdown option.

Steps to reproduce

1. in a drop down field within supertable add an option to the dropdown
2. press save
