Some issue with config files in Visual Studio 2022

I'm getting an error when loading the extension, saying there's something with the config files.
I can't get the full exception message, but this is what I see:

I recommend deleting your ~/.wakatime.cfg file then restarting your IDE and pasting your api key, to effectively reset the plugin:

had the same issues for over an month now tried everything like deleting the wakatime.cfg file and reinstalling the plugin
