Using this lib without having the unity project inside the RN project?

As the unity setup steps says, it seems mandatory to have the unity project inside the RN project.
Is there another way to go?

This is technically possible, but will require manual path replacement after exporting the Unity project

Have you tried making a unity symlink in the root of the React Native project to the directory you need?
