Error message : UTF-16 stream does not start with BOM

I am getting the error ' UTF-16 stream does not start with BOM' when I am doing the fiber coupling exercise. Thanks!

Can this problem be related to the version of Zemax that I am using? I am using Zemax 2009. It seems Zemax 2009 does not use unicode as text encoding and this creates a problem.
