This looks good but is a lot of content that will need to be kept up-to-date as things change across the repo and diagram. Seems difficult to maintain.

Tries to close #35. With lots of help from Claude, attempts to add detailed documentation on alignment with low-level diagram, reasoning for where and why things differed, while making sure to note that this is not final and that both the code and diagram serve each other.
Additionally, adds section on how to contribute with examples, and a section on how the composable parts can be used independently or together as seen in the pipeline.
