FarmData2 aims to extend farmOS by adding data input forms, reporting, and analytics that support the day-to-day operation of diversified vegetable farms, while also facilitating the keeping of records necessary for organic certification and for the study of sustainable farming practices.
FarmData2 is an application created for humans by humans. Working with people is what we find enjoyable about this project and our community. As such, we welcome particpation and contributions from all genuine humans, possibly but not necessarily, augmented by the responsible use of AI tools.
As a part of the Teaching Open Source community FarmData2 also places a high value on welcoming and mentoring open source newcomers and fostering student contributions through individual work, small team projects, and integration into formal courses.
