Created #7977 to address this.
Holding — this is a major (3.0.2 → 4.0.0) on a runtime auth dependency, so per our process it comes out of the weekly Dependabot slot and gets an owner + milestone rather than a batch merge.
Compatibility pre-check (all pass): fastify-plugin ^6 ✅ (6.0.0), @fastify/flash ^6 ✅ (6.0.3), fastify 5.10.0 ✅, Node 24 covers the got→native-fetch removal ✅, openid-client 6.x N/A (not used).
Still needs migration review + E2E before merge:
- #1394 changes multi-instance session data on login/logout — verify SSO login and logout end-to-end.
- TS v6-emitted type defs — confirm typecheck passes on our TS 5.9.3.
isMultiStrategyfix — check if we register multiple strategies.
Not merging in this week's batch.
