The term "Artificial Intelligence" is a misnomer that breeds misplaced attention.
These systems are not Synthetic Brains.
They are but Mechanical Suits: Capable exoskeletons that extend what humans can do.
What looks like thinking is actually Automatic Inference.
More specifically, Inductive Inference.
Where the conclusion of an argument is supported not with deductive certainty, but at best with some degree of probability.
The same way a calculator doesn't "know" math,
attaching the word "intelligence" to these systems obscures what they trully are:
Stochastic machines with the capacity to inductively infer statistically plausible word associations.
