splat rendering and splat + mesh scenes

Hi, thank you very much for releasing this, it is very valuable for the robot learning community.

From what I can tell, and correct me if I am wrong, the current version of this codebase doesn't include Splat-based scenes, such as the one shown in the appendix, and there are no code paths supporting splat rendering.

Are you planning to add support for splat rendering and splat based scenes in the near future?

We have some examples of splat scenes here: https://github.com/NVlabs/RoboLab/tree/main/assets/scenes/marble

We do not have large libraries using splat scenes as we currently use splats as backgrounds. I will add a small example task using splats to the repo. You can bring your own splat scenes to build on top of for your own purpose.

yes, +1 for that, I would be interested in comparing your splat scenes / workflow to that of polaris
