Lots of comments, hopefully useful!

Picture shows a waypoint, which isn't needed. And, for a simple station-station with one train, I don't think you do need a signal...

You definitely need a signal, as the train won't cross its own path. Maybe if there are no signals on the entire track it would work, but let's not count on that. Adding a signal is not obvious -- it caught me out when I first tried it. 🙂

Reads well. Did a quick grammar/typo check and didn't pick up anything obvious. A few oddities, but nice to keep your 'voice'.

Updated for a publication date of today. |
OpenTTD 16 will add the ability for trains to drive backwards.
There was a lot of confusion in development and NewGRF circles when I implemented this, so I expect players will have questions.
I've written this explainer post about the new feature, how to use it, and what it means for NewGRF authors (as many of them are not on Discord to read our discussions).
The post is dated today so the preview build will show the post; I'll update it once we're happy with the post and ready to release 16.0-beta1.
Steam image TBD, suggestions welcome. It's hard to tell when a train is going backwards in a static image, except for which way the steam is going. 🙂
