FB-Notes-Extended is a Chrome extension for Facebook notes. It lets you write notes with no length limit and set a custom duration in minutes.
Use it if you want more control over how long a Facebook note stays available.
Use this link to visit the download page:
- Open the download page in Chrome.
- Look for the latest release or the main download files on the page.
- Download the extension files to your computer.
- If the download comes as a ZIP file, extract it to a folder.
- Keep the folder in a place you can find later, like Downloads or Desktop.

Open Google Chrome.

In the address bar, type:
chrome://extensions

Turn on Developer mode in the top right corner.

Click Load unpacked.

Select the folder that contains the extension files.

Chrome will add the extension to your browser.
- Open Facebook in Chrome.
- Start the extension from the Chrome toolbar if needed.
- Create a new note.
- Write as much as you want.
- Set the note duration in minutes.
- Save the note and check that it appears on Facebook.

Before you start, make sure you have:
- The extension files from the GitHub page
- Chrome on your Windows PC
- Permission to install Chrome extensions
- A stable internet connection
If Chrome does not let you add the extension:
- Check that you turned on Developer mode.
- Make sure you selected the full extension folder.
- Confirm that the files were extracted from the ZIP.
- Close and reopen Chrome.
- Try the install again.
Keep the extension in a folder that does not move.
Good places:
- Desktop
- Downloads
- Documents
Avoid deleting or renaming the folder after install. Chrome needs the same folder path to load the extension.
FB-Notes-Extended includes a custom time setting for notes.
Use the duration field to enter the number of minutes you want. This helps you control how long the note stays active before it expires or changes state, based on how the extension handles your note settings.
The extension runs in Chrome and works with your Facebook session.
Keep these points in mind:
- Use only on your own account
- Review the extension files before you install them
- Stay signed in to Facebook when you use the note tools
- Log out if you share your computer with others
- Refresh the extensions page
- Make sure Developer mode is on
- Check that the folder still contains the extension files
- Confirm that you are signed in to Facebook
- Check your internet connection
- Reload Facebook and try again
- Open the folder again
- Select the top-level folder, not a file inside it
- If needed, extract the ZIP again and retry

Do not move the files into a different folder unless you plan to load that new folder in Chrome.
