On May 5, 2025, Sunoco LP announced it would acquire Parkland Corporation in a transaction valued at $9.1 billion. The deal closed on November 3, 2025, creating SunocoCorp LLC, which began trading on the NYSE under ticker SUNC. As part of the financing structure, Sunoco LP ran private exchange offers and consent solicitations for Parkland's outstanding notes; final results were announced November 5, 2025.
The Parkland acquisition substantially expands Sunoco's footprint into Canada and additional international markets, adding Parkland's refining, retail, and commercial fuels operations to Sunoco's North American fuel distribution platform. It is the largest acquisition in Sunoco's history and a transformational expansion of its fuel distribution and convenience-store-adjacent operations across North America.
In April 2026 Sunoco announced a 6.25% increase in its quarterly distribution alongside strong first-quarter 2026 financial and operating results.
