hmm if its marked as deprecated then we should try to not use it, and look for better ways to achieve this

also if u are updating plugin_manager.py then u also need to

• update the version string in plugin_manager.py
• add entry in index.json for the version like 1.1.1: null
• add entry in CHANGELOG.md
