Without this the nightly sweep passes green while never exercising the new versions. Deliberately NOT merged to main yet, unlike previous bumps which committed straight there. Both workflows run on a cron with environment defaulting to prod, so merging before production supports 2.7.0/2.8.0 would turn the scheduled run red every two days. Dispatch this branch with --ref for the dev sweep; merge once prod is on both versions.
