Ah ha! I spoke too soon on the read me PR. 😅 This LGTM, but I will hold off since you mentioned not wanting to accidentally trigger the release.

no, unless someone add this option in the ci.
I think the better way to handle this is to manually create a release branch and merge it.

This PR adds the pending changelog for bumping material_ui and cupertino_ui to 1.0.0. It probably shouldn't be landed until Wednesday to avoid the chance that someone triggers a batch release early.
