JuggleIM is committed to providing a welcoming, safe, and productive community for everyone, regardless of experience level, background, identity, nationality, appearance, disability, religion, or personal characteristics.
We expect all participants to help create an environment where people can collaborate on open-source real-time messaging technology with respect and professionalism.
Examples of behavior that contributes to a positive community include:
- Being respectful, patient, and constructive.
- Giving and receiving technical feedback with empathy.
- Focusing criticism on ideas, code, and outcomes rather than people.
- Respecting different languages, experience levels, and communication styles.
- Acknowledging mistakes, correcting them, and learning from the experience.
- Protecting user privacy and removing secrets or personal data from public reports.
- Giving appropriate credit for ideas and contributions.
The following behavior is not acceptable:
- Harassment, discrimination, threats, intimidation, or personal attacks.
- Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, or sustained disruption.
- Unwanted sexual attention or imagery.
- Publishing another person's private information without explicit permission.
- Sharing credentials, private message content, access tokens, or sensitive user data.
- Deliberately exploiting community systems, misleading maintainers, or submitting malicious code.
- Retaliation against someone who reports a concern in good faith.
- Other conduct that would reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting.
This Code of Conduct applies in all JuggleIM project spaces, including repositories, issues, pull requests, discussions, community chats, events, and direct interactions made while representing the project.
Project maintainers may edit or remove content and may warn, temporarily restrict, or permanently ban participants whose behavior violates this Code of Conduct. Enforcement decisions will consider context, severity, impact, and patterns of behavior.
Do not start a public confrontation or include sensitive personal information in a public issue.
Report conduct concerns privately to a maintainer through an available private GitHub channel or contact the project team through the JuggleIM website. Include relevant links, dates, context, and supporting material. Reports will be reviewed as promptly and discreetly as possible, and retaliation against good-faith reporters is prohibited.
