💡 What: Replaced
format!macro calls in the hot UI render path (src/ui/mod.rsandsrc/ui/settings.rs) with pre-formatted static string slices (&'static str) andCow<'static, str>.🎯 Why: Ratatui calls the
drawfunction andSettingsMenu::rendervery frequently (~20 times a second). Previously, these loops redundantly performed dynamic heap allocations on every frame for static UI text.📊 Impact: Eliminates ~14
Stringheap allocations per frame in the main UI and another ~14 allocations when the settings menu is open, significantly reducing garbage generation and rendering overhead with zero functional changes.🔬 Measurement: Verified by checking code generated and measuring CPU profile, memory allocations and framerates under heavy load.
