Summary

Planning-phase draft for prototyping the removal of CardTransaction as a third TransactionOneOf variant, folding card activity into the existing IncomingTransaction/OutgoingTransaction types via the discriminated source/destination unions (new CARD destination for purchases, new CARD source for standalone merchant credits). Fine-grained card lifecycle is preserved as cardStatus on the destination.

Full plan: docs/plans/2026-07-06-unify-card-transactions.md (rendered in the Files tab — inline comments welcome).

On approval, this branch will be updated with the actual spec prototype and the plan file removed.
