I joined Dastgyr as a 22-year-old who knew almost nothing. Four years — and four promotions — later, I'd helped grow the engineering team from 10 to 80, scaled our APIs from 3,500 to 21,000 concurrent users, and cut our AWS bill by 84%.
I've always believed that being a good engineer isn't just about writing code. It's about understanding the problem deeply, owning the outcome, and making things that actually work for real people. That's what I've tried to do every day.
Some things I'm proud of:
- Cut AWS spend from $6,400/mo to $1,000/mo — eliminated MSK and ElastiCache, consolidated services, right-sized everything
- Scaled REST APIs to 3,300 req/s with 130ms latency (was 1,200ms)
- Shipped a production agentic AI procurement system using OpenAI + Tavily — autonomous supplier discovery, negotiation, catalogue expansion
- Broke a monolithic JS codebase into TypeScript microservices using DDD as the team grew 8x
- Built a shared backend SDK adopted by 7+ services that cut setup time by 70%
- Led a 4-engineer team shipping 6 revenue-critical features end-to-end
- Architected a cross-border multi-currency system with FX-rate-aware transactions
What I'm building now:
- forge — AI-assisted development with senior-engineer discipline
- precis — Precision AI development workflows
- distributionos — Distro OS. Distribution Intelligence for Founders. Turn product knowledge into distribution content — ingest brand info, run positioning audits, generate channel-optimized content calibrated to your voice.
