What changed

  • Refined the WPF instrument-style visual system, state styling, empty/loading surfaces, bilingual copy, and measurement hierarchy while preserving telemetry semantics and data flow.
  • Standardized the Inno Setup experience with permanent Start Menu launch/uninstall shortcuts, stable AppUserModelID values, optional unchecked desktop/startup choices, upgrade preference reuse, logging, GitHub support metadata, and a narrower application-close filter.
  • Added installer contract regression coverage and updated installation documentation.

Why

The shipped UI used inconsistent visual tokens and weak state hierarchy, while Start Menu creation and optional shortcut defaults varied from the other desktop applications.

Impact

Hardware telemetry, report generation, power history, single-instance behavior, and measured-versus-unavailable boundaries remain unchanged. Existing upgrade choices continue to be restored.

Validation

  • Tests: 22/22 passed with no warnings
  • Changed-file dotnet format --verify-no-changes: passed
  • git diff --check: passed
  • .NET 10 self-contained publish, portable packaging, and Inno Setup 6.7.3 compilation: passed
  • Installer SHA-256: 9918D06B8EB4B43B94FD635E789A80B2AFC7ED30EF47B9AFB66631BE4CB10DBC

The repository-wide format gate still reports pre-existing whitespace in unrelated files. No installer was executed and no installed application or GitHub Release was changed.
