This is the working area for the specifications of the OpenID Foundation's Digital Credentials Harmonized Presentation (DCHP) Working Group.
The DCHP Working Group supports a joint initiative between experts of ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 17 (WG10) and the OpenID Foundation's Digital Credentials Protocols (DCP) Working Group to harmonize their credential presentation protocols.
ISO/IEC 18013-5 (Device Request / Device Response) and OpenID for Verifiable Presentations (Authorization Request / Authorization Response) take different approaches to credential presentation. The working group is developing a technical specification for a harmonized digital credentials request protocol that brings these together, supporting both in-person and online presentation and the coexistence of multiple credential formats, including ISO mdoc and IETF SD-JWT VC.
See the working group home page for more information.
The working group is at an early stage and no drafts have been published yet. Links to the Editor's Copy and Working Group Drafts will be added here as they become available.
See the guidelines for contributions. The working group operates according to its Working Procedures. In particular, note that an OpenID Foundation IPR Contribution Agreement covering the DCHP Working Group is required before contributing.
The working group meets regularly by conference call. The schedule and joining details are published on the working group home page.
- Questions and proposals about the specifications themselves are best raised in the issue tracker.
