This project presents a sales analysis based on the classic Northwind database.
The goal was to analyze sales performance, identify key trends, and build a clear, business-oriented dashboard in Power BI.
The analysis focuses on sales dynamics, customer value, employee performance, and geographic segmentation.
The report answers the following key questions:
- How did sales evolve over time?
- Which countries generate the highest number of orders?
- Who are the most profitable customers?
- Which employees handle the highest number of orders?
- What products are ordered most frequently?
- 1998 showed a significant sales increase, especially in Q1 (month-over-month growth up to +35%).
- Germany and USA generated the highest number of orders, with identical share in total order volume.
- Total Sales Value: 1,265,793 PLN
- Total Orders: 830
- Median Order Value: 7,048 PLN
- Month-over-Month (m/m) sales dynamics analysis
- Business KPI tracking
- Customer ranking (by sales value)
- Employee performance ranking
- Sales segmentation by country
- Product frequency analysis
The dashboard was designed with clarity and storytelling in mind to support decision-making.
