There was no material change from the 2020 version of the Patent Policy to the 2025 Version that would affect Working Groups. The changes concern decision power and procedural aspects as W3C moved to a director-less process.

But IF the Group has re-opened the Specification anyway, it is actually a good idea to reference the 2025 version of the Patent policy.
