genders-ctypes is an interface to the Genders host configuration
database library. Because it is ctypes-based, it wraps the genders C library
without needing a separate compilation, unlike the Python wrapper included with
the upstream Genders source.
The upstream Genders library is widely available in package repositories for Linux systems and Homebrew for macOS.
