Hey, I'm Alcahest.
Linux-first, based in Turin, Italy. I work with coding agents daily: I take a problem from an issue, direct the implementation, test the result end to end, and ship it.
For six months I worked in the team on OpenWhispr, an Electron dictation app, where 114 of my pull requests were merged - mostly Linux platform work: Wayland/X11 paste paths, D-Bus notifications, compositor hotkeys, GPU fallbacks. I maintain Hyperflux (download accelerator in C, HLS and a TUI), and build small tools like claude-interactive-ci and a Plasma 6 config saver.
I self-host most of my stack.
Most Electron projects ship a Linux build that nobody really tests. That is the work I do. Currently open to paid work on Linux desktop platform issues, QA and end-to-end testing - remote (EU) or Italy.
