AI Scan was described as "cloud extraction returning structured Markdown", which reads like summarization. It is a visual-fidelity transcription: the prompt asks the model to re-type every word, map styling to Markdown, keep the layout, rebuild tables, and never summarize or translate.

Also state that PaddleOCR is the offline path for anyone who wants local-only OCR, and that API keys stay on the device with requests going straight from the phone to the provider's endpoint — there is no Scanly server or proxy.
